Having no formal art education my work comes from a life long desire to create things with my hands. I fondly remember my first jumbled piece of navy blue knitting (I called it a scarf) and the embroidery piece I just couldn’t seem to keep from sewing to my pants. Along the way I have explored many mediums and tried to glean all the knowledge I could from books, magazines and watching other artists create.
My focus at the moment is polymer clay. I have found that teaching others is my best learning experience so far. Their intense desire to learn inspires me to continue to seek out new and exciting items for them to create.
I am a past co-president of the Columbus Ohio Polymer Clay Guild and past Vice President of the Columbus Precious Metal Clay Guild.
